Description
We are seeking a Human Capital Specialist who will be responsible for enabling LOTT Builds employees to be successful and thrive in their functions.
Scope
Oversee employee lifecycle including but not limited to:
- Recruiting
- Interviewing
- Hiring
- Onboarding/Offboarding
- Training
- Career Development
Responsibilities
1. Human Resources
- Manage the talent acquisition process. Including recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants. Collaborate with departmental managers to establish the skills and competencies necessary for their openings.
- Help develop and execute onboarding processes and offboarding. Help them learn policies, explain duties, plan to join dates, and complete the necessary paperwork after getting relevant signatures.
- Help develop and execute training plan for employees by position.
- Help develop performance reviews by position and then ensure that they are executed in a timely manner.
- Maintains and enhances employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expense reimbursement, and vacation.
- Plans, monitors, and appraises HR activities by scheduling management conferences, resolving employee grievances, training managers in how to coach and discipline, and counseling employees and supervisors.
- Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations in confidential manner.
- Investigates employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution.
- Maintains company organization charts and employee directory.
- Help partners level existing employee salary and benefits and re-board existing employees.
2. Policies and Procedures
- Help identify existing, coordinate updates and document improvements to operating procedures.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures by establishing metrics and compliance flags.
- Assist in establishing and rolling out “LOTT Culture”.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
- Ensures compliance with national and local HR regulations by conducting investigations and maintaining records.
3. Risk Management
- Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
4. Technology
- Assists in setting up laptops equipped with all necessary accounts and databases for new hires.
- Uses performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team.
- Establish conduits for both regular and confidential feedback from employees.
5. Office Management
- Monitors office supplies and ordering new stationery, furniture, appliances and electronics as required and update budget accurately
- Reports office progress to leadership and working with them to improve office operations and procedures.
6. Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Education: Highschool GED
- Experience creating and implementing processes and policies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience Requirements: Previous HR experience
- Familiarity with full cycle hiring
- Ability to be self-sufficient and self-directed
- Must reside in a commutable distance to Collingswood, NJ or be able to work remotely while relocating to a commutable distance
