Sushi Hatsu, From a Morimoto Alum, Is Now Open in Ambler

Chef Harrison Kim

A new BYO serving sushi, seafood, and Japanese-inflected small plates is now open in Ambler.

Sushi Hatsu, a partnership between chef Harrison Kim and restaurant builder Frank Lott, is now open in the former Ambler Cabaret space at 51 East Butler Avenue.

It’s the first time owning a restaurant Kim, a kitchen lifer who worked at famed Japanese concepts like Morimoto in Philly and Nobu in San Diego. (“Hatsu” means “new beginnings” in Japanese.) Lott, who put up capital and built out the space, has a long list of area restaurant clients like Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar, Yiro Yiro, and Snap Kitchen.
